Monitoring Pupil Wellbeing
|
Zones of Regulation In every classroom, children use the Zones of Regulation check-in system to communicate how they are feeling at various points throughout the day. If a child indicates they are not in the green zone, the class teacher will take time to speak with them individually to explore how best to provide support. |
|
Wellbeing Concern QR Links In addition, pupils can scan a dedicated Wellbeing Concern QR code to request a private conversation with their class teacher or a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT). These QR codes are displayed prominently in classrooms and other accessible areas throughout the school. |
The daily monitoring of pupil wellbeing is a shared responsibility between all staff members. Staff members can report any concerns directly to the class teacher or SLT or use the electronic reporting system via the wellbeing concern QR code, ensuring that all concerns are captured and addressed promptly.

Pupil Wellbeing Surveys
As part of our more formal monitoring processes, we carry out termly surveys using the Glasgow Motivation and Wellbeing Profile (GMWP). This tool enables us to track key aspects of pupils’ wellbeing, including motivation, confidence, and emotional resilience. The information gathered through the GMWP allows us to identify potential issues at an early stage and implement targeted interventions at school level, class level and for individual pupils. |

Review Meetings
Pupil wellbeing is also an integral part of our termly attainment meetings involving class teachers, Support for Learning Teacher and the Senior Leadership Team. During these meetings, alongside reviewing academic progress in literacy and numeracy, class teachers have the opportunity to discuss any pupils who may benefit from additional wellbeing support or intervention. |
