Whole School Events
At Earlston Primary School, our whole school events play a vital role in bringing our values of Inspiration, Nurture, Creativity and Community to life. Across the year, we plan a rich calendar of shared experiences that give children meaningful purpose in their learning while providing exciting platforms to celebrate their skills and achievements.
Parents, carers and the wider community are warmly welcomed to many of these events, helping us recognise both the individual strengths of our learners and the collective successes that bring our school community together.
Following each event, we take feedback from pupils, staff and parents to help us identify and celebrate successes, as well as identifying further opportunities for enhancing the event for future years.

Art ShowcaseIn Term 1, every child from Nursery to Primary 7 produces a selection of artwork inspired by a key text they have been exploring in class. Pupils then select two favourite pieces to be proudly displayed at our Art Showcase, celebrating creativity, personal expression and interpretation through visual art.

Children also submit Scots writing pieces, which are celebrated and judged in partnership with our Parent Council.

Science FayreDuring Science Week, children participate in a range of exciting investigations. Our P5–P7 pupils lead their own scientific enquiries, sharing experiments, models and demonstrations with younger classes and visiting families, helping to inspire curiosity, questioning and discovery across the school.

'When I Grow Up I want to be...'This inspirational careers event invites local businesses and professionals into school to run interactive stalls showcasing their careers. Children discover how classroom learning connects to the world of work, ask questions, and explore future possibilities with enthusiasm. What began as a whole school event has grown into a wider opportunity, now also welcoming P7 pupils from across our cluster to join us in developing ambition, curiosity and confidence about the future.
