On wedensday mrs anderson came in to teach us.First we did art and in art we were making spring trees and we were just finishing the blossom. We were using the end of a paintbrush to do this with green, red, pink and white paint. In maths we were doing maths stations. We were learning our ten times tables, we were measuring lenght and were chucking toy cars and toy balls and seeing how far they would go with metre sticks. Seth and Kirsty
In music different people were dancing. We sang songs like Miss Mary Mac and Everybody feel the force. Today we started by going to assembly. The assembly was all about the playground behaviour and explaining different rewards and consequences. When we came back, we learnt how to use the new laptops. How to turn them on and off and how to log on and off. Some of us went on Google Earth and found our houses. However, we had some problems getting onto all the laptops. Gary and Miles helped us because they were the people setting all the new computers. After that we started to make powerpoints about money. Some of us found it hard because we couldn't get pictures to paste because of the new way of pasting. Mr Brown wasn't very helpful and encouraged us to try and work stuff out for ourselves and to help each other. This is called being resillient and not given up quickly. This afternoon we were learning about money and also developing our reading skills.
Welcome back primary 3. This week is the second last of out roman topic. It should be a very exciting week also as we get our new computers and laptops! On the last day of term primary 5 shared with us some Roman games that they had made. We really enjoyed playing these games and learnt a lot from them. A huge thank you for all the help pupils have had with their homework this term. What they have been able to bring in has been fantastic. Some examples can be seen below.
Last week we were busy finding out all about living things. We will continue to look at this on Monday! In art we used the moss that we collected and blended it with buttermilk, water and sugar. It smelt disgusting! We then used the mix to paint our names on a piece of cardboard. Hopefully they will grow into the shape of our name. Today in class we were in full scientist mode. We were setting up an experiment to find out if beans would grow without soil. We had lots of different hypothesises such as: After, we wrote up our experiment so that other people could try it for themselves. Welcome to the primary 3 blog page. We look forward to sharing all about our learning and experiences.
