In maths we have been doing Negative numbers.We have been doing adding and subtracting with negative numbers.E.G 5-(-10)=-5.addThe rules are that if there both the same you add if there not you take away.
In p6 we have been doing cricket. Mr.Hunt was deciding on who was going to be on the cricket team while we were doing cricket.the teams were boy vs girls the BOYS WON! the people on the cricket team are Lara,Amy,Sophie,Leanne, Lauren,Conor,ogan,amie,organ,Sam,Archie,Nicholas,Logan N,Sean,Lewis B and Adam.

In P.E we have learned about cricket with a cricket coach called Rory Banks. We have learned about how to follow through when we hit the ball .We also learned how to bowl the ball correctly. We did the training for 5-6 weeks.We played a game of Mr. Brown's cricket and the girls won one game and the boys won the second game! We also had a cricket tournament against Melrose. Earlston got separated into four teams.
In reading we have been reading the Desperate Journey.We have been focousing on 6 different skills.The skills were metallinguistics,visualisation,prior khowledge,summarising,main ideas and inference.For homework we had to read a passage about salt or earthquakes and we had to use metalinguistics to find out out what words meant using the passage. Because we were so good at learning the names of the weathers in French we got given some croissants or baguettes at the end.

Our old topic was the Jacobites. We had really good fun learning about them. And a guy called Captain Jonston to come in to talk to us about the jacobite, he brought wepons in for us to look at and hold aswell as wearing the clothes of the jacobites and the red coats.
